I would like to report a disappointing experience I had with the Timberland store in New York City. During my vacation in NYC, I visited a Timberland store to purchase some items, including boots and jackets. I have been a loyal Timberland customer for decades and have always appreciated the brand’s quality. However, this time, I was extremely disappointed. After returning to my country, I left the boots unused for a few months. When I finally started wearing them, I noticed a serious defect: the soles were completely warped inward, making them impossible to wear. On a subsequent trip back to NYC, I took the defective boots to the store for an exchange. To my surprise, the store staff informed me that they could not assist me and that I had to email Timberland to request a warranty claim. I find it completely unacceptable that a store would sell a defective product and then refuse to replace it. This experience has completely changed my perception of the brand, and I will never purchase Timberland products again. I hope this complaint helps warn other customers about the poor quality control and lack of customer support I encountered. *Apparently, this practice of selling defective products and refusing to exchange them happens frequently, as there are many comments from other customers experiencing the same issue.
